170 x 240 mm, handbound With the rise of machines, the craft of hand-bookbinding is disappearing and bookbinding is becoming a lost art. The choice of binding technique adds value to the final product. With my master's project 'VAN BLANCO NAAR BOEK,' I aim to raise awareness among young designers that there are more binding techniques than just metal rings, staples, and gluing. BINDING is a sample book of eight carefully selected hand bookbinding techniques. What stands out is that the binding techniques are placed on the right side, serving as a visual focal point. On the left, there is an informational booklet about the binding techniques on the right, with a brief description, pros and cons, and some examples for each. VAN BLANCO NAAR BOEK PROCESFOLIO is a collection of research, experiments, and step-by-step processes that I conducted during my project/research.
