IF ALL ELSE FAILS

160 x 200 mm, soft cover, 2026 In this work, Cas takes his viewers along in the search for meaning in his own work and intentions. What similarities can be found in photographs made intuitively? How do contradictions relate to one another? And in what way can images enter into dialogue with each other? After a long period of intuitive and experimentative photography, Cas attempts to answer these questions about the process of his craft. The work comes together in the photo book “IF ALL ELSE FAILS”, in which this photographic process of meaning-making takes center stage. In this project, special attention was given to the relationship between color, shape, and emotion. A careful balance of these elements creates a cohesive visual language throughout the book. Generous use of white space allows the images to receive the attention they deserve, enhancing their impact and creating a calm, focused experience. Photography by Cas Voerman
